Platinum Ingots are a refined material. They are created by processing Platinum Ore in a Refinery or disassembling components that contain platinum. Platinum ingots are used to assemble the following components:

Tips

It may be more reliable to hunt for Platinum ore veins on asteroids. While there are reports that platinum ore veins spawn in crash sites rarely, a player may have more luck in space.
It is recommended that the player builds up a good surplus of platinum ingots for the production of thruster components and Elite tools, should they be lost.
