Gold Ore is a naturally occurring rare ore which can be refined into 
Gold Ingots. It is found in deep veins on planets, moons, and asteroids and it has a shiny metallic yellowish appearance.
Refining[]
Gold Ore can be processed in a 
Refinery to produce Gold Ingots at a 1% ratio (e.g. 1000 kg of ore will produce 10 kg of ingots). Without any upgrade modules, a refinery can produce 94 kg of gold ingots in one hour (with the refinery speed set to "realistic" in the world settings).
Once refined, Gold Ingots are used to make late-game components such as Gravity Components, Superconductors and Ion Thruster Components.
Gold Ore cannot be processed by a Basic Refinery.
