The B-980 Hauler was the second in a series of large ship transplanetary hybrids added with the economy update. You can obtain this ship in game from some of the NPC Trading Outposts for about 100,000,000 space credits, which makes it the second most expensive sold ship after the B-60 Bulk Freighter.
This battery powered VTOL capable space craft is enough to take a pilot from the mothership to an asteroid, space station, or planet. The limiting factor of this ship, as with many of the B-series of ships, seems to be power generation. The over-reliance on conveyors and stations to power the vessel could hinder the pilot. Atmospheric thrusters provide plenty of thrust, while the parachute will aid in an emergency black out. Pilots will have to watch both power and hydrogen gas on these craft.
