Alien planet is one of the harder start locations, being the most rugged terrestrial Planets in the game: The topography varies from desert planes, to forested tundra, to sheer mountain cliffs.
In space, you recognise this cyan and pink planet by its reddish moon Titan.
Almost every ore can be found here with the exceptions being as usual Platinum and Uranium. While the ore veins may be fewer, they are much larger in volume.

Description[]
Spoiler warning! This article or section contains details about the game which players may be intended to discover on their own! |
The wide variation of terrain can make using wheeled rovers frustrating. Long term, operating battery-powered or hydrogen-powered VTOLs is recommended. Hostile creatures make base building and navigating the landscape an even riskier challenge.
The weather is windy enough for wind power, but the planet is also known for sudden life-support draining toxic fog.
If you land in the warmer biomes, the planet may seem to lack ice. Without the easy gathering of fuel for the hydrogen thrusters needed to overcome the planet's higher gravity, escape from the Alien planet may seem an insurmountable task. But a little hard work and exploration will lead you to ice lakes in the Oases of cooler reaches.
